I’ve been applying for pharmaceutical sales positions but I don’t have any pharmaceutical sales experience and I’m sure that it’s hindering my ability to get interviews. If I can’t get that, my second choice is Human Resources but since my undergradute degree is not in HR or Business, I ‘m having the same road block. Any suggestions?

How can I get my foot into the door of pharmaceutical sales?

August 25th, 2009
I am currently a senior at the University of Illinois scheduled to graduate in July/August of 2007 with a degree in Kinesiology. After interning with physical therapists, chiropractors, and nurses I decided that the clinical aspect and extra years of education of healthcare may not be for me so I was considering pharmaceutical sales. I have a professor who is getting me in touch with a friend of hers so that I may be able to intern with him, but other than that, does anybody have any ideas about how I can get my foot in the door and really learn about the career to see if it is a good match for me and my future? Also, are there any tips for snagging a job in this field right out of college if it is what I choose to pursue?
